Fiber into Yarn

Alpaca fiber is warmer than wool, softer to the hand, very lightweight for it's warmth, and comes in 22 natural colors.
Spinning with fiber from my own animals is so rewarding!

Fiber Tumbler

The raw fiber is tossed and separated to help eliminate dirt and vegetation.

Wash and Spin

The fiber is washed in extremely hot water and detergent repeatedly until it spins out clean with no sign of dirt in bottom of washer.

Carder

Once the fiber has been cleaned and dried it is then fed into the carder to align the fibers in preparation for the spinning process.

Drop Spindle

The carded fiber is now spun into beautiful yarn.
